THE BRIEF:
To generate hype around Max Brenner’s latest store opening in Manly with local media and drive foot traffic in store.
THE OUTCOME:
Teaming up with Zotts & Co, GQPR executed a highly targeted media campaign to celebrate the opening of Max Brenner at Manly Wharf. A multifaceted approach was taken to include a creative product mail out to media, a consumer-focused event and highly tailored media pitches to account for the various touch points.
GQPR encouraged Max Brenner to provide both free and heavily discounted deals across opening weekend. This not only provided local media with news to share with their readers but resulted in getting customers in store, particularly amid the rising cost of living. For national media titles, GQPR had to take a different approach to appeal to their Australia wide audience and used various key dates and new menu launches as an anchor for those stories.
The campaign resulted in lengthy queues at the Manly Wharf public square and subsequent days across launch weekend. Coverage was obtained across hyperlocal media outlets to include the Manly Observer and Northern Beaches Living , what’s on style publications such as Broadsheet and Hunter & Bligh and national press to include 9honey, Kidspot, Instyle & 2GB radio, boosting the visibility of Max Brenner both locally and nationally.
